ImPerfect Angels Organization is a 501(c)(3) organization founded February 29, 2016

Our Mission

IAO’s mission is to provide community programs and events that will enhance the lives of young and adult women who are underserved or experiencing a deflated perception of self-worth.

IAO Vision

ImPerfect Angel’s vision is to serve thousands of underprivileged or suffering young and adult women across America. Our impacts will be:

  1. Recognized for our work in building stronger communities and women leaders
  2. Maintaining diversity of our participants
  3. Financial stability of the organization
  4. Growth in the number of girls/women served to more than 200 annually
  5. Expanded territorial reach beyond Illinois

Jetara Perry

Board of Directors; President; Executive Director

Jetara Perry founded ImPerfect Angels Organization in 2016 with Laura Bermudez in Naperville, IL. Jetara also became a published author in 2016 with her debut book titled Imperfect Angel: Her Journey to Womanhood. She has been a writer for 15+ years in which she fell in love with spoken word and poetry. Jetara has always had a passion for helping others and building women empowerment. When she started Imperfect Angels Organization her first goal was to build better leaders of tomorrow. The IA Youth Mentoring Program is a service provided for school age girls to learn the importance of self- love, respect and responsibility, as these are driving many challenges in adolescents today. Jetara loves mentoring, supporting and enhancing young and adult women while building an everlasting sisterhood!

Makiya Woods

Board of Directors; Executive Board Advisor

Makiya is Vice President of Talent & Organization Development for Ecolab’s Industrial businesses. As a highly sought out coach and advisor, Makiya supports organizations through innovative design techniques and thoughtful, people centered deployment strategies. Makiya serves as a board of director and executive board advisor for ImPerfect Angels Organization and prior to joining Ecolab, she spent 8 years with Texas Instruments in a variety of roles including manufacturing leadership. Makiya also holds a BS in Psychology and MBA in Organization Development.

Domini Henderson

Board of Directors; Secretary/Treasurer

Domini has been a Professional in the insurance industry for 7 years. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. After obtaining an MBA in Human Resource Management, Domini began working for a Fortune 500 company. There, she quickly developed a passion for charitable work through volunteering for nonprofit organizations in the community. Domini discovered how rewarding and fulfilling it is to give back and help others. Now, 7 years later, she has joined the ImPerfect Angels Organization with the ultimate goal of contributing her talents to create positive change in the lives of the young and adult women we serve.

Brittany Green

Board of Directors; Vice President, Event Coordinator

Brittany Green began her entrepreneurial journey in 2006 when receiving her Cosmetology license from Pivot Point International. As a professional stylist she opened her first self-owned salon in 2015. Also, in that same time she was able to gain over 5 years of experience in logistics and transportation compliance with Amazon corporate office. Brittany started volunteering for IAO in 2017, then joined the Board of Directors and accepted the seat of VP in 2021. As being a mother of a daughter of her own, Brittany has a strong passion for helping underprivileged youth to overcome today’s hardships, setbacks and stereotypes that girls are faced with in today’s society.

Alisa Williams

Board of Directors

Alisa Williams is the current Chief of Staff at Quad County Urban League. She works closely with the CEO to strategize the league’s operations after and during the pandemic. Alisa was a manager for Ecolab for 20 years, her responsibilities included leading a credit team, administrating software systems, business consulting on projects, and delivering training to associates. She structured the Nalco An Ecolab Company’s women mentoring group, which now has a global reach. Alisa also chaired the Ecolab Naperville Community Council. Outside of the corporate experience, Alisa is a 25 year youth minister who has a passion for helping youth. Her passion is to speak “thEm-powering” truths and give powerful “thEm-couragment” to youth and women while helping them to identify and walk in their power.

Ngoyi Hellams

Board of Directors; Branding & Communications

Ngoyi is a mother of two small daughters that will inherit the world we leave behind. She served as a military police officer for 8 years. She then went on to become a leader in a revolutionary organization as a social activist for 2 years. Ngoyi also owned and operated a childcare facility and now she serves the community as a traveling storyteller promoting early literacy development to our youth. Ngoyi joined Imperfect Angels Organization because she recognizes the needs in our communities and she sees Imperfect Angels Organization as a solution! It takes a village to raise well-rounded productive members of society and Imperfect Angels is that village for her and so many other families. She is very grateful to have the opportunity to serve the community in this way and looking forward to contributing her diverse skill sets to add value to the organization.
